Texas Two Step
Texas Two Step
Poker with Community Cards
2 pots with 2 boards and each player having 2 hands.
Number of Players: 2-9
Wild Cards: No
The object is to make the best possible five-card hand using a combination of hole cards and five community cards. Players will split their cards into 2 two-card hands before showdown for a split pot.
Players are dealt four hole cards and will make a five-card hand using any combination of the cards from their hand and from the community cards.
Each player is dealt four cards face down, starting with the player to the left of the dealer.
There is a round of betting where each player can fold, call, or raise. Betting starts left of the dealer or left of the big blind.
Two 5-card boards of community cards are dealt. Community cards are dealt as a three card street (flop), a one card street (turn) and a one card street (river) with betting rounds following each street. A "burn" card is dealt before each street for each board.
Determining the Winner
After the final round of betting (after the river), all remaining players will create 2 two-card hands - one for each board of community cards. Best poker hand using any number of players cards is determined for each board with a split pot.
Aces can play high or low.
The game is played as a pot limit game. The game can be played with blinds as a "round".
