Poker with hidden hands that are progressively revealed
Best 5-card poker hand
Number of Players: 2-7
Stakes: Fixed. Typically up to $1 per bet capped at 3 raises.
Wild Cards: Yes
Overview
Players are dealt an unrevealed hand and hands are exposed in rotation around the table.
How To Play
Each player is dealt seven cards face down.
Threes and Nines are wild cards.
Fours allow players to add an additional card to their hand. (DO WE CHARGE FOR THE EXTRA CARD?)
Starting with the player left of the dealer, players will turn over one card of their hand at a time until they have a hand that is higher than any other currently revealed hand.
The first player must turn up cards until his hand is stronger than the bottom card of the deck.
The player revealing cards continues until they believe that they have the best hand showing. At that time, they stop and can choose to bet or check their option.
Other players are NOT ALLOWED to call out hand values but may challenge a player that has incorrectly ceased or continued revealing cards.
If a player has ceased and starting betting incorrectly OR continues to reveal cards after they have the best hand, then their hand is immediately folded and they pay a penalty (typically $3) to the pot.
The game ends when the last card is revealed.
Players may fold at any time.
Determining the Winner
Each makes their best five-card poker hand using any of their 5 cards. Aces can play high or low.
