Overview
Spots is a version of 7-Card Stud where a split pot between the best 5-card poker hand and the 7-card hand with the most "spots".
Players are dealt 7 cards over 5 streets.
How To Play
Each player is dealt two cards face down and one card face up starting with the player to the left of the dealer.
"Roll Your Own" OPTIONALLY: Players can be dealt each card face down and all players will "roll" one card up each street.
There is a round of betting where each player can fold, call, or raise. Betting starts with the player with the best hand showing.
Each player is dealt another face up card followed by another round of betting. This is repeated 4 additional times.
After the 4th card is dealt but before the round of betting, each player will declare whether they are "in" or "out". Declarations are made clockwise starting left of the dealer. Players that are "in" must win/share in the best poker hand or the most spots or they must match the pot at the end of the hand.
The cards dealt as the last iteration will be face down or face up based on player's choice. Players end up with 2/3 down cards, 4/5 up cards.
Betting is limit and often $1 for all streets. Larger amounts for the later streets or possible just the last street are an option.
