Poker with 5 Community Cards
Best 5 card poker hand
Number of players: 2-7
Stakes: No Limit (typical), Pot Limit, Fixed
Wild cards: No (typical), Low Hole Wild
Overview
The object is to make the best possible five-card hand using a combination of hole cards and five community cards.
Players are dealt two hole cards and will make a five-card hand using any combination of the cards from their hand and from the community cards.
How To Play
Each player is dealt two cards face down, starting with the player to the left of the dealer.
There is a round of betting where each player can fold, call, or raise. Betting starts left of the dealer or left of the big blind.
Community cards are dealt as a three card street (flop), a one card street (turn) and a one card street (river) with betting rounds following each street. A "burn" card is dealt before each street.
Once per deal when it is time for a player to act (bet, call, raise or fold), the player may replace one or both of their cards for a per card fee. The fee often varies from street-to-street. One common fee structure is $0 pre-flop, $1 post flop, $2 post turn, $3 post river.
Determining the Winner
Each makes their best five-card poker hand using any five cards from their hand and from the community cards.
Aces can play high or low.
